DJBLAINED - SUNDANCE KID
As a professional DJ for over 25 years, Blaine has performed at every type of event imaginable. He started professionally as the DJ at SUNDANCE Discothèque in NW Washington DC during the Disco era, where he spun the tunes for 5 years. His DJ handle “Sundance Kid” was given to him by a radio DJ who patronized the club along with several well-known celebrities at the time. Other patrons dubbed Blaine “The Musical Wizard from the West” who will “erupt your feet into a battering barrage of blazing dance steps.”
After leaving DC, Blaine returned to his hometown of San Francisco and moved to Sacramento shortly after that. Blaine began doing weddings and private events in Sacramento during the late Eighties, and his business and popularity has steadily grown since then. Blaine currently performs at between 30-40 weddings per year, as well as numerous private parties and corporate events. He DJ’s every weekend without having to advertise because of repeat clients, word-of-mouth and people who see him perform and want to hire him.
You can see Blaine perform at his regular Saturday night dance in Carmichael, where he has been the DJ for over 10 years. There are also some Friday night dances at the same place as well as once-a-month dances in Roseville. In addition, many of the events where he performs are open to the public. DJSEAND - SDII
Sean is Blaine’s son and has been a working member of SUNDANCE KID Entertainment for the past 7 years. He DJ’s every weekend and has an extensive working knowledge of various styles and genres of music. He has played at every type of event and always gets compliments on his professionalism and frequently gets repeat requests for his services. Sean can also be seen at work on Saturdays in Carmichael.
